Singapore Exchange Limited (“SGX”) has directed MF Global Singapore Pte Limited (“MF Global”) not to take on new derivatives positions but only reduce existing positions with immediate effect.

MF Global has informed SGX that it will not enter into new securities transactions.

Currently, MF Global is meeting its financial obligations to SGX’s derivatives clearing house.
